The asymmetrical lacing pattern is a comfortable design, and the model offers the correction I need for my overpronation. This time around, I was unsure I'd stick with Asics Kayanos because I never really felt great about my Kayano 16s for some reason. But, I've had more positive experiences than not, so I purchased the 17s from Road Runner Sports. The shoes arrived sooner than I anticipated, which pleased me. And the shoes feel like running with wings on my feet. Pretty awesome. Great cushioning, great colors, and sturdy build. All within 11oz. Road Runner Sports even made a follow-up phone call to me, to assess my satisfaction. Off-center laces are designed to conform to the bony structure of the foot and therefore reduce irritation. Mine are black and I really love the way they look (I am not one for pink running shoes.)
