I put them on and the fit true to size for me and they're very comfortable. This morning I went on an off road run over rocks and dirt, which is most of central Texas, and these shoes were craving for more. They have excellent stability and great grip even on loose soil. I ran up and down a few hills and never did I feel I had a loss for traction. I'm not sure how they handle in mud, but, I'm going to find out in a couple weeks. I will re-post an update when I see how they handle the mud. My plan is to get 50-75 miles of break in running in the next 15 days before the race so I know they'll hold up. If they handle mud half as well as advertized (and I've read on other boards) I'm sure my satisfaction will stay high.EDIT: These shoes tore up the tough mudder course! It's truly a great shoe for trail running. The grip is amazing and the shoe is really light. I still have my old Speedcross 2's and I definitely see the improvement that Salomon has made. The biggest improvement has to be that the shoe is more rigid so offer more protection from rocks. My Speedcross 2 were great, but you felt every rock on the trail. |
